About Janie Eick

My name is Janie, and my husband Ryan and I live with our kids just east of Okoboji on an acreage where we farm and raise cattle.

My roots in the Iowa Great Lakes run deep. I grew up spending summers at my grandparents’ cabin on the lake, and that lifelong connection gives me a true appreciation for everything this community has to offer. With a father who was a land developer and home builder, I developed an early understanding of homes, construction, and what makes a property special.

In seven years as a real estate agent, I’ve closed over 320 transactions and achieved the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in under four years. I specialize in the Okoboji area and surrounding communities, from lakeshore properties to acreages and investment opportunities. My business has been built largely on repeat and referral clients, a reflection of the trust and satisfaction I strive to deliver in every transaction.

Janie was very helpful, and explained everything concerning our buying our house. Was very patient with all our questions. Highly recommend her. She went totally out of her way every time we wanted to look at a house to buy. Really took time to explain and help us understand the procedures in purchasing our house.

Janie is great to work with and I highly recommend hiring her to help you sell or buy your next home. She knows the market extremely well and she works for YOU! I've had Janie sell two of my homes now and I've also purchased two homes from her. She truly gets the job done and there is no one else I would want to work with. We've also became good friends in the process and thats a bonus as well!

Janie made our whole experience so easy. We are completely new to the area, and Janie helped us with every step. She went out of her way to expedite our search for a home, the financing, the inspector, etc. And she helped search out all the local utilities for us, so we could be prepared for the move. Janie was incredible! Her knowledge of the properties was outstanding! Flexible schedule and prompt in replies/callbacks! She made the process so easy for purchasing our first home and was always there day or night for any kind of questions or information we needed!! Even after we had closed on our house Janie still is answering questions for us to this day! If you need to buy/sell a property Janie is the lady!

Janie was very helpful with showing us several houses to choose from. She helped us with negotiating and we were able to get it several thousands below their asking price. She worked with us as we had to have our closing date extended. We really appreciated all the time and effort Janie put in to get our new home in Spencer.

Janie helped us purchase a cabin in the Bridges Bay Resort and did an excellent job. She was very responsive when we had questions. We got connected with Janie by pure luck from Zillow, and we were so impressed with her. From our first meeting, her responsiveness, and especially her willingness to get more information for us. She was so helpful through every step of the process. She went above and beyond by coordinating with surveyors, City Officials on utilities, and getting HOA documents. We could not have found a better agent to help us find our Okoboji Home!

Janie was extremely helpful, professional, and excellent with communication during the homebuying process. Helping us through the process made it much less stressful, especially during the negotiation phase. As first time homebuyers, she was great to work with and did a good job of communicating with us and letting us know what to expect, how the process works, and what steps to take to ensure closing.
